Is it the end?

Hello everyone, My boyfriend and I have been together for four years, living together for three in a one bedroom apartment. Im in my late twenties, he is in his thirties. When we began our relationship we had a common goal; to save enough money and move to Europe. This was, I found out 2 years later, not really what he wanted, so over time the project that we had shared was ended. In its place we (generaly at my prompting) began to look into another shared project (saving to buy some property together), but there were always buts and ifs. When I asked him about having a family together sometime in the future, his reply was maybe, we will see (when we started dating he had said he wanted one allthough neither of us wanted to get married in our lives). I then asked what he aspired to with his life, and made up a list of a whole lot of things that I would like to do as a mode of example. He has aparently been working on that answer for more than two months. This was/is a big issue...

True stories of Russian Women

TESTIMONIALS ELMIRA: I would like to share with you my love story which happened on this site. Some time ago I put my profile to Hotrussianbrides.com website. I even could not imagine what the happiness is waiting for me in future. I met my soul mate on this site. He is amazing Australian man who treats me like a princess. At first I could not believe that communication through internet could work for me, that the person who is so far from me in distance could become so close to me by soul, but the result overcame all my expectations. So I would like to give an advice to every lady and man to try their destiny on this site. We communicated with Kane every day with letters and in chat and we felt that it was not enough for us to be just friends. We had a lot in common and we could not stop talking with each other discussing many themes. We were so excited!!! Our first meeting was in Russia. I showed Kane Moscow...

HUMAN RIGHTS MILESTONE

Image
When the Universal Declaration of Human Rights marked its 60th anniversary in 2008, a watershed development went largely unnoticed. With the adoption of the new Optional Protocol to the Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the UN General Assembly voted to end an historic imbalance that has given civil and political rights greater weight. The new Protocol provides a long awaited mechanism for overseeing and protecting economic, social and cultural rights in the international arena. The Story Human rights advocates have long argued that economic, social and cultural rights should enjoy the same legal status as civil and political rights. In December 2008, the UN General Assembly adopted the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. For those who have long endured in silence the denial of access to food, housing and other basic necessities, the new Protocol at last offers a ...

GLOBAL FOOD CRYSIS

Image
Skyrocketing food prices sparked riots in more than 40 countries and grabbed headlines in the first half of 2008. While media coverage of the world’s food crisis has since been overshadowed by international alarm over the global financial crisis, the access of poor people to food is worsening. Growing numbers of people are falling into the ranks of the hungry as the economic downturn closes factories, bankrupts companies and shrinks household incomes. At the same time, domestic food prices are still higher than they were before the world food crisis, exacerbating the problems of declining income and employment. The Story Volatile prices and the global financial crisis, coupled with the dramatic decline in agricultural investment over the past 30 years, have sharply reduced food security in many developing countries. While international food prices have fallen from peak levels of 2008, prices in many developing countries rem...

NEGLECTED EMERGNCY

Image
In the course of 2008 and 2009, renewed clashes between government troops and rebel groups in the Central African Republic have forced tens of thousands of civilians to flee their homes, perpetuating what the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has called one of Africa’s “neglected emergencies.” Faltering steps towards peace, an upsurge in violence, a foundering economy and a deterioration in the security situation have dampened hopes for an end to a humanitarian crisis that has plagued the country for more than a decade.    The Story More than 300,000 people have been uprooted by violence in the Central African Republic during the last ten years. Fighting between rebels and government forces, complicated by ethnic divisions and disputes over cattle, has pushed growing numbers of refugees into Chad and other neighbouring countries. Over the last two years, tentative steps have been taken to resolve th...

MOON LIGHT ON SNOW-A LOVE STORY

Image
CHAPTER-1 Haley Gant suddenly wished she could celebrate her thirtieth birthday the way her sister planned to celebrate her own. With all her friends, a dozen of the hunkiest male strippers, and enough champagne to float a boat. Probably an aircraft carrier if Courtney’s usual parties were any indication.             Haley sighed. Right now she’d settle for enough champagne to float a tiny toy boat, but champagne was a scarce commodity on the slopes of the Bitterroot Mountains of Montana. Haley took a sip from the blue spattered enamel cup and grimaced. Coffee, even laced with sugar and powdered creamer, ran a distant second to a crystal flute of chilled bubbly.             Desp...
