Affordable Care Act is Vital, say US Republicans
Three US republican members were found to be supporting Affordable Health Care Act at a town hall meeting that was organized in Middletown on Thursday. One of the republican members Rosa DeLauro was of the view that the act is vital and especially for women.
While explaining the importance of the act from women point of view, DeLauro said that women have to 48% more in comparison to men when it comes to insurance. There are a number of problem, which are not being covered in medical insurance for women.
These changes cannot be brought through insurance companies and a whole new system is needed for the same. DeLauro further affirmed that not even 5% insurance plans cover maternity services. However, the opposition members were against the views of DeLauro.
"One of the things I found most unsettling was people that were opposed to growing the access to affordable and quality health care were often very selfish”, said Dante Bartolomeo, who is a Democratic candidate.
The views from opposition did not stop the government to talk about the act. They were of the view that some of the benefits, which Connecticut residents are going to get through the act are, no more restrictions on care, steps for improving public health among other things
