IIFT EXAM PATTERN AND TIPS
IIFT test is conducted for admission to post
graduate program at IIFT. Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) is almost a
50 year old institute. It runs as an autonomous institute and offers post
graduate management programs The MBA(IB) Programme at the School of International Business, IIFT is
a very sought after program. A number of students each year take the entrance
exam to get through the program.
IIFT entrance exam consists of is a multiple
choice question paper. The two hour exam consists of the following sections
- English Comprehension
- General Knowledge & Awareness
- Logical Reasoning
- Quantitative Analysis

for 28th November 2010.

The exams for admission to IIFT 2012 batch went smoothly. The examination was of 2 hours with 122 questions divided into four sections compared to previous year paper which had six sections and the total number of questions were 150. The detailed IIFT analysis follows as:

- General Awareness: 20 questions
- Quantitative Ability: 28 questions
- Verbal Ability: (Verbal 25
questions, RC 15 questions)
- Logical Reasoning& Data
Interpretation: 34 questions
As per the analysis gathered from various
sources on Internet, it has been found that the DI questions were difficult and
lengthy. RC was comparatively easy. Quantitative Aptitude Section also had
difficult level questions and most of the questions were from Arithmetic and
Geometry. However, the geometry questions were quite direct. The General
Knowledge Section had most of the questions on current affairs.
IIFT Cutoff
As per the information gathered from various
sources on Internet, IIFT cut off details should not have been higher than:
Quant Section: 5-6 marks.
Logical Reasoning: 5.5-6.5 marks.
General Knowledge: 1.3-2.0 marks
Verbal Ability: 8 marks.
The overall IIFT cut off for IIFT Delhi may be 32-35 for IIFT and around 28-32 for IIFT Kolkata.
Quant Section: 5-6 marks.
Logical Reasoning: 5.5-6.5 marks.
General Knowledge: 1.3-2.0 marks
Verbal Ability: 8 marks.
The overall IIFT cut off for IIFT Delhi may be 32-35 for IIFT and around 28-32 for IIFT Kolkata.
