Key to Successful Relations: Only Women should Handle Household Work

Earlier, women used to do a majority of household work, but later with advancement in time, things changed. Gender equality was one thing that was in the minds of people, which led to equal sharing of work at home.

However, a Norwegian study has revealed that if couples want to live peacefully then they should adopt the pattern that was followed in earlier times. Let women do major chunk of the household work.

The study has found that couples, who believe in equal sharing of work, are facing more problems in their marriage. Problems have increased to such an extent that couples have started taking divorce. Co-author of the study, Thomas Hansen was of the view, "What we've seen is that sharing equal responsibility for work in the home doesn't necessarily contribute to contentment”.

They have titled their study as 'Equality in the Home', in which the study researchers have recommended that in order to avoid bitterness at home, it will be better that men should handle job responsibility and women should household work.

One more thing that was being noticed in the research was that the couples, who follow the pattern, which was prevalent in earlier times, face fewer complications like divorce in relation.
