Another Fundraising Rally for Cystic Fibrosis from October 8-18
Peter Sherlock has personally gone through the shocking
effects of cystic fibrosis as his brother-in-law, Robert, is a victim of it. He
described Robert living with the disorder as "like trying to breathe
through a straw".
To find out a cure for this problem, it's been two years now
that he is trying to raise funds for the research and this year once again he
has took part in the Cystic Fibrosis Great Escape Car Rally.
This annual rally will take place from October 8 to October
18, and among so many brightly colored cars, one will be driven by Mr.
Sherlock. His car will be a 1978 Mercedes 450 SE.
As told by Sherlock, their yearly aim is to raise an amount
of $8000 at least but this year it seems quite difficult to raise even this
much. They are hoping to collect at least $5000.
In medical terms, Cystic fibrosis is a genetic deficiency
that makes it difficult for the salt to move in and out of the cells in a
human's body. At present, there is no cure for this disorder.
